Samurai Showdown

My experience today is like as if it's out of the Japanese samurai movies!

Aquaz Jewell, my friend in SL, showed me her swordsmanship skills with her friend gura Botha, at a dojo where they had a deathmatch duel. Aquaz fought well but gura, being a master at the dojo, quickly take her down with a few swipes from his sword. Aquaz worked hard to train well and it shows, since she could stand a master for a while. Gura is really good, competiting against other opponents.

Afterwards, other challengers came forward to practice/challenge gura. Lots of swords chashing, kicking, and even special moves fast as lighting appeared in the battle area. I am excited to learn some moves myself, but I have to find an English-speaking dojo/trainee first.

New York, New York

Thank to my friend Jeri Pinion, I realize there was a New York sim in the making! It even include the rats!

I had the opportunity to meet the sim's creator, Cheri Bing. She's a resident in New York and was inspired to make the NY sim from her current residency in 5 Points, which is a New York sim circa 1850. I had the chance to chat with her while dancing on the street with her in her sim. We became friends quickly because I am interested in New York and we had a lot in common.

Come see it for yourself! She even made a homeless shelter if you are poor and needed a place to stay! What a great person!

Go and check the New York sim out! It looks great!

"Para" and "Handsome Sushi"

Wow, you're in for a double-treat today, thanks largely to Aquaz Jewell!

First off, we head to a restaurant called "Para", a Japanese-style BBQ place. Aquaz and I ate a lot and drank a lot there. The sim is quiet but it was a lot of fun, seeing how I can grab a piece of the hot BBQ meat every 15 second and gulp it all down with beer. It was fun to hang out in Japanese sims with someone who understood Japanese, and who's as much fun as Aquaz. Thanks to the owner of Para for having us to have a good time!

The second place we visited is called "Handsome Sushi". It's a sushi-boat Japanese restaurant where you sit down, take the dishes of sushi you want, and start eating. Again, the restaurant is in a semi-empty sim (KABUKI) and the food was great. I wish there was a read AV there to serve us, like making the sushi there for real! It's fun to see myself as I eat a delicious piece in my hand.

Well, that's it for my post for now. More to come later!

Fortune Diner

Hello! Today I had the wonderful time meeting Aquaz Jewell and dii Boa at Fortune Diner! I've always felt alone in Japanese sims because I couldn't understand or type Japanese, but I feel almost like home at Fortune Diner with Aquaz and dii, chatting in English while sipping on a shot of fresh coffee. It was fun to chat with them lightly and getting to know them better. I am so happy!

Come check it out! Most of the staff at Fortune Diner can speak and understand English! I love the Margie's Diner-feel that the Fortune Diner offers, just like the ones in RL!

I put on my Kimono and Japanese traditional-style haircut to fit myself into the Japanese sim environment. How do I look?

Aquaz was being silly by wearing that large "Ai" sign on her head! I wonder why she did that...

English Assistant

The day started great :)

I had applied to become an English assistant and the employer got back to me. I got the job *woot!* I will start on Wednesday around 6AM SLT starting this week.

Because I will be working as a staff for this island, I was looking around for a suitable outfit of a professional woman, and behold, I found this store "Magnificence". They carry many great conservative outfits at unbeatable price. Come check it out!
